Smelter Manyar merupakan fasilitas pemurnian dan pengolahan konsentrat tembaga kedua milik PTFI yang tengah dibangun di Kawasan Java Integrated Industrial Estate (JIIPE), Gresik, Jawa Timur dengan luas total sekitar 100 hektar, sebagai wujud komitmen PTFI untuk mematuhi persyaratan yang terdapat dalam IUPK.

Smelter Manyar dirancang untuk memiliki kapasitas pengolahan konsentrat tembaga sebesar 2 juta ton per tahun, yang menjadikan smelter ini sebagai tempat pengolahan tembaga terbesar di dunia. Hasil pengolahan Smelter Manyar akan ditambahkan dengan kapasitas pengolahan smelter yang telah beroperasi, PT Smelting, dengan kapasitas pengolahan 1 juta ton konsentrat tembaga setiap tahun. Dengan demikian, setelah Smelter Manyar beroperasi, PTFI akan mampu mengolah 3 juta ton konsentrat tembaga per tahun.

Pada kuartal pertama tahun 2020, proses pengembangan Smelter Manyar telah memasuki tahap penguatan lahan.

About the job Manyar Smelter Project - Process Control Engineer

Process Control Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining control logics, HMI (Human Machine Interface), and advanced process control programs to ensure the smelting and refining processes are operating safely, optimally, and continuously improving. The scope of the automation systems within this role is the regulatory, supervisory, advanced process control (APC), industrial applications, and the PI data management system. Automation is an integral part of the operations of the smelter and refinery as it is controlling various processes to ensure safe operations and optimization of operations. Leading up to commissioning and ramp-up of the plant, this position is a part of the Operational Readiness team to manage the readiness of the automation teams resources, systems, and talents.

Role Spesific Competencies

The professional and technical competencies which specifically apply to this role include but are not limited to:

1. Capable of identifying instrumentation by type and communication protocol. Optimizes/maintains advanced instrumentation.

2. Capable of providing drawings and specification for control system design/modification; additionally capable of reviewing electrical and instrumentation proposals for projects.

3. Able to interpret and modify controls logic to correct issues and new projects. Creates/modifies code for use within a library. Proposes and implements new control strategies and tuning

4. Responsible for execution of actions related to automation system integrity, life cycle, and upkeep.

5. Understand loop tuning processes and capable of performing basic Root Cause Analysis to repair or improve poor performance. Familiar with alternative/advanced methods for resolving troublesome loops.

6. Experienced in sustainable site-specific documentation for control system such as design specification, HMI specifications, drawings, and specifications.

7. Experience with Siemens PCS7 v7 or above with the APL library. Demonstrated experience with FBD, ST and SFC logic, and WinCC Advanced. Preferably experience using SIMIT. Experience with Siemens TIA-Portal v15 or above.

8. Experience in the use of Ethernet for control (e.g., Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP) including analysis of network traffic and configuration.

9. Adept at scenario planning and Risk Mitigation to ensure all change introduced in the control automation system is done without putting processes and personnel at risk.

10. Adept at complex project portfolio management. The automation team will be involved in multiple improvement projects at one time, each with different timelines and simultaneous work going on at the same time. Adept in Scope of Work development and managing project timelines, budgets, and quality.

11. Complex data management and analysis. Storytelling with data. Objective communication to stakeholders based on sound analysis of technical data. Advanced in technical writing.

12. Influencing without control able to collaborate, accommodate needs of, and influence operations team, metallurgists, process engineers, maintenance team, MIS, and others to improve automation control logics to increase safe production and/or improve process performance.

Requirements

(Required) Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or related field relevant to Process Automation such as Metallurgy, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics Engineering.

Engineer, preferably in a hot-metals and hydrometallurgical/chemical processing facilities, with demonstrated experience in Siemens PCS7 or other PLC/DCS platforms.

Adept at project management.

Experienced in design and implementation of safety systems that may include Fatal Risk/Critical Risk Management principles (>2 years preferable).

Experience in operational readiness efforts leading up to commissioning and start up.

Experience in big data management is desired though not mandatory.

Experience in application of Agile principles.
